Hey, my name is Moritz Kubesch and I am currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Salzburg in Human-Computer Interaction with a focus on using Uncomfortable Interactions to encourage people to reflect on how they perceive and treat the boundaries of others. Simultaneously, I am working as a Researcher at the Human-Computer Interaction division of the University of Salzburg. My particular interest concerns research and technical studies -two fields I am eager to work and develop new ideas in. As both my professional and personal viewpoints are that challenges go hand in hand with growth, I have always enjoyed challenges of all kinds -whether it be backpacking in South America, developing computer-animated games, generating a game-engine, making entertaining short films, or writing poems. As I am a very lively person who is committed to learning, I spent the fifth semester of my bachelor’s program in Denmark, studying at the IT University of Copenhagen. This exchange semester sparked a fire in me for Play-Theory, another study-field I want to focus on in future projects.
